We combine industry and sustainability in the manufacturing of our products. That’s why we source half of the aluminum used in our clip production across Europe, Asia, Africa, North America, and Australia from Iceland. There, aluminum is produced exclusively using renewable energy sources such as hydropower and geothermal energy. This environmentally friendly production method, along with its geographic proximity to Europe, makes the use of Icelandic aluminum particularly climate friendly.

Taking responsibility – for our customers, our environment, and future generations – is our commitment. That’s why we once again had our packaging at Poly-clip System solutions evaluated by an independent institute.

The result: In a recent study, our packaging achieved the top position in seven out of eight categories for packaging efficiency. Our solutions also ranked first seven times in the life cycle assessment, which takes the entire CO₂ footprint into account. In addition, our packaging solutions excelled in technical recyclability, reaching values of over 90 % in nearly all categories.

The comparison included packaging solutions for various applications – from pet food and sausages to dairy products, ready meals, adhesives, and fruits and vegetables. Our solutions stand out for their particularly low CO₂ emissions and resource-efficient material use – while maintaining consistently high product safety and quality.

Themis, based in Legnano near Milan, is setting new standards in waste processing and the circular economy. With our innovative WRT Technology (Waste Recovery Technology), we transform waste into valuable resources while significantly reducing our CO₂ footprint.

Our WRT machines use a multi-stage process of evaporation, drying, granulation, and mixing to reduce the original waste volume by up to 90%. Through this process, waste materials such as sewage sludge or chemical residues are converted into reusable distilled water and solid products that have a wide range of applications.

A special highlight of our technology is the utilization of existing thermal resources, which lowers operating costs while increasing energy efficiency.

Our innovation has already been recognized with awards, including the Le Fonti Awards® 2022 in the Sustainability category. Through this approach, we aim not only to reduce waste but to actively integrate it into the circular economy – making a significant contribution to environmental sustainability.

Comparisons show that our Clip-Pak solutions generate 64% less CO₂ than conventional injection-molded cups and even 81% less than thermoformed packaging. This means fewer emissions while maintaining high product quality – a win-win for our customers and the environment.

The net-pak® packaging solution from Poly-clip System combines efficiency, reliability, and environmental awareness in a carefully designed system. It consists of bio-net, bio-clips, and bio-labels, which together form a fully industrial compostable ecosystem.

With a material content of only 0.5 %, net-pak® significantly reduces raw material usage and conserves valuable resources. Compared to conventional plastic packaging, CO₂ emissions are reduced by up to 25 %, providing an additional benefit for the environment.
